Ellen Lawson is really glad to be working with the always-inventive Kira Blaskovich, the knowledgeable stage managers and all the perky actors on the wonderfully wacky Sideways Stories from Wayside School. Ellen originally met Kira through Junior Theatre. Soon afterward, Kira cast her in Coronado Playhouse’s production of Ripcord, for which Ellen won the 2022 Aubrey Award for best actor. Other favorite roles of Ellen’s include Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd (Phil Shelborne Productions, Las Vegas), Woman in The Shakespeare Revue (Oregon Cabaret Theatre), Fraulein Schneider in Cabaret (Summer Repertory Theatre, Santa Rosa) and Halbrech in Scotland Road (Spokane Interplayers Ensemble). Ellen sends a big thanks to Wren and Hazel for showing their gram the way.
